About

I am a cheerful, spontaneous person and I work with affection and dedication in anything that can help other people. That’s why I like teaching and helping my students achieve their goals and objectives. Since 2011 I have been a teacher and since 2013 I have been accompanying people from different countries to learn my language, Spanish. I love conversing in classes and transmitting the techniques and experiences that I myself have acquired when learning other languages. Besides, I love reading, drinking coffee and traveling.
I studied Spanish and Classical Languages Philology (National University of Colombia). I am also certified in the Induction to Pedagogical Processes course (SENA, Colombia), TEFL as a teacher of English as a foreign language and I completed the course Grammatical Notions of the Portuguese Language (School of Public Management of Ceará, Brazil).
I have been a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language for 12 years, teaching people of diverse nationalities, cultures and ages in face-to-face and remote modality. During the last 6 years I have taught children from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and USA and also adults from Brazil, USA and Germany. During my last years at university, I lived 2 years in Argentina and worked as a style corrector and assistant editor of literary books in publishing houses in Buenos Aires.
I hold a TEFL certificate (Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language). Also in the courses: Induction to Pedagogical Processes (SENA, Colombia). Grammatical Notions of the Portuguese Language (School of Public Management of Ceará, Brazil).
I love reading, preparing and drinking coffee and even better, having that coffee while conversing with friends. I also like riding a bicycle and I love the sea. I also love traveling and I have had the opportunity to visit various places, countries and cultures. Apart from working as a Spanish teacher, I also worked as an instructor of workshops on specialty coffees in Cartagena, Colombia for two years. I was also a caregiver for older adults for a short time (a job I did with great affection) and currently I also work as a volunteer in a worldwide organization that helps people of all ages improve their quality of life.
